HAIR EMERGENCY!! Help!?

My hair is boy short its naturally really curly, I use to wear it curly and sometimes I'd straighten it w Babyliss flat iron.. I straightened it 2 times in 1week and a half and no nothing ive tried has brought my curls back... Deep conditioning, hot oil treatments, Im not straightening my hair anymore,,, but because it's short it looks beyond horrid!!! It won't curl so it's this ugly stick straight I can't style it!! :( I've gone to the hair salon, the guy gave me a deep conditioning treatment and attempted to style without any heat (irons or blow dryers) and failed miserably even he was clueless. I just wanna shave my head!!! I look so ugly! Maybe cut it super short? But than I'd have to wait forever for my hair to grow! Idk what to do it just won't curl and I cant put it up be cause it's short... I wanna cry. I don't wanna damage it but it looks good straight, but it just will get worse if I keep straightening it.
